HENRY J. DENNENY of Dale Avenue died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Theresa E. (Kearney) Denneny and also of the late Alice M. (Donahue) Denneny. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Henry F. and Katherine (Bowen) Denneny, and had lived in Cranston for the past 48 years. He had been a salesman for a number of firms including the Congdon & Carpenter Co., Steel Sales & Service and Nightingale, Baker and Salisbury Steel Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a master sergeant in World War II, serving in the European, African and Middle Eastern theaters. He was a member of the Cranston Council Knights of Columbus 1738 and a member of the St. Matthew Holy Name Society. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, twin daughters, a sister, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Helen Cassidy and Ann Touchette.
