Aaron Alan Bardwell, 26, of Coffeyville, died Monday afternoon (July 31, 2000) at St. John’s Hospital, Joplin, as the result of a traffic accident.

Mr. Bardwell was born May 21, 1974, at Charleston, S.C., to Steve D. and Ruth E. (Shira) Bardwell. The family moved to Coffeyville in 1975 where he attended Field Kindley High School. He worked at various jobs in the Coffeyville area.

He attended truck driving school in 1999, at Tulsa, and received his truck driving certificate, which enabled him to obtain a commercial drivers’ license. Mr. Bardwell had been employed at Central Locating Service, in the Southeast Kansas area.

Some of his hobbies were art and music, and he was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Steve and Ruth Bardwell of Coffeyville; a sister, Vanessa Wallace of Bartlesville; maternal grandparents, Don and Pat Shira of Coffeyville; paternal grandmother, Mary Bardwell of Louisburg.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church. Burial is at Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel, and from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
