Mary Cipra was born August 6, 1889 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Mary Hoseck Cipra and passed away at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 21 days.
At an early age the family moved to Austin, Minn. She was united in marriage to Jess O. Roe on June 14, 1914 at Flaxton, North Dakota. In 1915 they moved to the Lenox vicinity, where they both spent the rest of their lives.
To this union seven children were born, Grace Alexander of Kansas City, Mo., Marjory Paton of Reinbeek, Iowa, John of New Castle, Pa., Dean of Redfield, Iowa, Gene of Grinnell, Iowa, Bonnie Ridgley of Miami, Florida and Doris Key of Lenox.
In addition to her children, she is survived by three sons-in-law, 3 daughters-in-law, 15 grandchildren and one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Joseph Cipra, her husband Jess on Mar. 13, 1945, and her son-in-law, Alan Paton of Reinbeck.
Mrs. Roe was a member of the Church of Christ of Lenox.
Funeral services were held at the Bender Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., with Rev. Don Bailey, officiating.
Bearers were Steve Roe, Allan Key, Mike Key, Jack Roe, Tom Lynam and Kurtis Brown.
Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
