Ethel Mae Wagner, 90, of Victorville, California, formerly of Good Hope, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 in Victorville.
She was born on November 1, 1919 near Pennington Point in McDonough County to Grover and Dora Maude (Greenhagen) Baldner. She married Henry Ross Wagner on March 29, 1941 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother and one sister who both died in childhood.
She is survived by two sons, H. Ross Wagner, Jr. of Victorville, California and V. Clete Wagner of Macomb; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Betty Hunt of Long Point, Illinois and Ruth Curtis of Macomb.
Mrs. Wagner worked at Spurgeon's Department Store in Macomb for fifteen years. She enjoyed poetry, playing the piano, sewing and reading the Bible.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Reverend Lon Springer officiating. Burial will be in Pennington Point Cemetery near Adair.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the McDonough County Red Cross.
