WAYNESBORO- Wade Griffith Fisher, 72, of 2451 Calf Mountain Road,died Tuesday afternoon (Dec.12,2000) at Augusta Medical Center.
He was born Feb.10,1928, at Augusta County, a son of James Edward and Katie (Crickenberger) Fisher.
He was a member of Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church,a horse lover,and retired from the city of Waynesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter,Peggy Dee Fisher, a brother,James Allen Fisher, four sisters Anna Mabel Frazier,Irene F. Craig,Mary Hartbarger and Justine Kidd.
Survivors include two sons,both of Waynesboro,two daughters,two sisters, Vivian F. Sprouse and Carrie A.Fisher, both of Waynesboro.
A service will be conducted at 2p.m. Friday at Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church, by the Rev.Merle Fisher,with burial at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clyde,Billy,Chris and Stacey Fisher,Dallas Curry,Tom Austin,Joey and Scott Wingfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro and other times at the residence of the sister Bobby and Vivian Sprouse,1247 Calf Mountain Road.
