Ronald T. Bennett Feb. 24, 1943 – April 26, 2010

Ronald T. Bennett of Wallowa died at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Wash., at the age of 67.

He was born in Wallowa to parents Clyde and Carrie (Buckles) Bennett. He attended school through grade 12 in Wallowa, and earned an accounting/business degree from Blue Mountain Community College.

Mr. Bennett owned Little Bear Drive-In.

He was married to Janice L. Doud in Wallowa April 25, 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Janice; son Jeffrey of Wallowa; daughters and sons-in-law Rhonda and Leon Fuller, La Grande, and Raenita and Jack Deal, Rheesa and Chad Savage and Rebecca Bennett, all of Wallowa. He is also survived by brothers Bob Bennett, Lostine, and Vern Bennett, Enterprise.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geneva Eckley.

A Celebration of Life was held April 30, 2010, at the Wallowa Christian Church, with Archie Hook officiating. Burial was in the Wallowa Cemetery.

Bollman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of choice.
