Charlotte, known as Lottie, contracted TB, so George sold his prosperous farm in Illinois for "The Cure" in Webster Co Missouri about 1890. She died Feb 2 1900.
George remarried, Oct 4 1904, to Alfreda Melissa Cannady, a widow with 1 daughter named Thelma Holmgren (MOSHIER). To this union was born Mable Isolet (Spurlock), Helen Beryl (Pratt, Vannoy), Lema May Alphreda (Corley), Alice Lenora (BROWN), Pierce Alexander, Ross Eugene, and Glen Stanley.
About 1915 George moved his family from Missouri to Sulphur, Arkansas. The family remained in the area. He died in 1952.
