OBIT: Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Frances Broomfield, 76, of Route 5, Lufkin, are scheduled for 2:30 pm Tuesday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Othel L. Boles will officiate and interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gipson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Broomfield died suddenly Monday morning. She was born in Mississippi August 26, 1889 and had resided in Angelina County for 40 years. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Turner of Lufkin and Mrs. Carrie Lloyd of Houston; one son, Hiram F. Broomfield of Lufkin; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Bullock of McComb, Miss. and Mrs. Carrie Hines of Jackson, Miss; ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Gipson Funeral Home directors.
