Clea Allison

Mrs. Cleo Allison, 73, of Big Prairie RD 1, passed away Monday afternoon at Pomerene Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Allison was born February 8, 1901 in Monroe Twp. Holmes County, the daughter of Frank and Off ( Carpenter ) Close. On December 21, 1921, she married Lester Allison who preceded her in death in 1953. A member of United Methodist Church in Nashville, she served as a ladies aide in the church. She was charter member of the Nashville Grange and member of the Hilltop Garden Club. Surviving are: two sons, Eugene and William Allison, both of Big Prairie RD 1; one granddaughter, Lisa; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Sprang of Millersburg and Mrs. Rachel Waitman of Millersburg RD 2. Services were held Thursday ( today ) at 1:30 p.m. at the Nashville Methodist Church with Rev. Gilbert Shilling officiating. Burial was in Nashville Cemetery. Elliott - Hartline was in charge of funeral arrangements.
