A native of Gary, West VA, Mr. Parrish was the former owner of Favorite Chair Upholstery. He was a member of Azalea Garden Church of God, past Master of Berkley Masonic Lodge #167 AF&AM, Past High Priest Ionic Royal Arch Chapter #46 and Past Sovereign Master of Grand Council #169 AMD.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Lucy G. Parrish and is survived by his wife, Lois Gwaltney Parrish, daughter, Rhonda Gerhart of Atlanta, GA and son, Wayne Parrish of Richardson, TX. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Robbie Parrish of Winston-Salem, NC and Aaron Smith of Atlanta, GA.
A funeral service was conducted Thursday, July 17, 2003, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with Rev. Aubrey D. Maye officiating.
The burial with Masonic rites followed in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
