He was born on Oct. 2, 1927 in Stanley and was a son of the late Thomas and Edith Dinges Breeden.
Mr. Breeden had worked as a supervisor for the Virginia Oak Tannery.
His wife, the former Augusta Ann Cloude died on Dec., 8, 2000.
He is survived by a son Larry Thomas Breeden of Luray; a brother, Rufus Breeden of Luray; a sister, Ruby Rhinehart of Stanley; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alva Mae Rafft, Frances Parlett and Catherine Richards; and a brother, Robert Breeden.
A graveside service was conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray by the Rev. Charles R. Turner.
