Services Held Friday for Mrs. Myrtle Lee
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from Whitesand Baptist Church for Mrs. Myrtle Bridges Lee, 69, of the Red House Community of Jefferson Davis County, who died early Thursday morning at her home. Rev. Billy Greene, Rev. Sutton Smith and Rev. Foy Killinsworth officiated and interment followed in the church cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge. Nephews served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Lee was a native and lifelong resident of the community where she was an active member of Whitesand Baptist Church. She had been in failing health for several weeks.
Survivors include her husband, Hollie Lee; two sons, Garland Lee, Bernice Lee, of Prentiss; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Smith, Mrs. Edwin Breland both of Rt. 1, New Hebron; six brothers, Carl Bridges, Frank Bridges, Hiram Bridges, Henry Bridges all of Prentiss; Albert Bridges of Mt. Olive; Ethel Bridges of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Mrs. Marvin Griffith, Mrs. J. C. Griffith both of Prentiss; Mrs. Lige Lee of Terry; eleven grand children and three great grandchildren.
