OLIVIA - Ethel Christina Abraham, 81, of Olivia, died at 7:31 a.m. Tuesday in a Port Lavaca hospital following a short illness.
A lifetime resident of Olivia, she was born Feb. 21, 1907, to the late Charles and Ellen Peterson. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Funeral Home chapel in Port Lavaca with Mr. Raymond Sieg and Mr. Gary Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Olivia Cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Charlotte Abraham of Olivia and Gail Garland of Waco; five sons, Carrol B. Abraham of Port Lavaca, Paul and Wayne Abraham, both of Olivia, Allen Abraham of Victoria and Dale Abraham of Sugar Land; five sisters, Ida Griffth, Catherine Burke and Ella DeBord, all of Olivia, Bertha Oehlart of Alvin and Ruth Taylor of Arlington, Va.; a brother, Alvin Peterson of Olivia; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Abraham; a daughter, Joann Abraham; and two brothers, Emil and Glenn Peterson.
