NOTE: The headstone is incorrect. According to the First Presbyterian church register, he was born on June 18, 1869 (not 1868 as carved) and was baptized in Nov of 1869. Also, in the 1870 census which was taken in June of 1870, his parents listed him as 11 months old, again making his birth mid-1869. Either the informant to the carver, or the carver himnself, got the birthyear WRONG.
