Peter R. Sims, 58, a resident of Charleston for the last six years, died in a Salt Lake hospital Wednesday at noon of complications following an operation.

Mr. Sims was born in Harmon, Ill., March 1, 1876, a son of Frederick and Anna Margaret Peterson Sims. He was married to Mary Ann McDonald of Heber city, March 22, 1902, in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Delma Holliman of Columbia; Mrs. Olea Monson of Provo; Mrs. Ella Crandall of Salt Lake; Miss Dorothy Sims and Miss Erma Sims of Charleston; a son, Mac W. Sims of Charleston; a brother, L. H. Sims of Salt Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Lena B. Jones of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Minnie Johnson of Arcadia; and 13 grandchildren.
