Adele was born and raised in Torrington, and graduated from Torrington High School. She was employed by the Social Security Board in Baltimore, Md., before her marriage to William in late 1946. They moved back to Torrington and primarily lived there until 1973, when they moved to South Yarmouth, Mass. She worked at Sears in Hyannis before retiring.
Adele enjoyed antiques, history, Cape Cod folklore, the ocean, wildflowers, birds, her gardens, her needlework, and entertaining. She valued her long-time relationships with friends, neighbors, and family. Her beautiful smile and kind heart (as well as her wonderful apple pie) will long be remembered. She was a member of St. Pius X Church in South Yarmouth.
Adele leaves a daughter, Jean A. Fink and husband Bill of Otis, Mass., a son, William D. Russell and wife Joan of Granby, six grandchildren, and three granddogs.
The family wishes to particularly thank Eloise, Lillian, Anne, and Liz for their exceptional and loving care of our mother.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 26, at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, Station Ave; South Yarmouth. Interment will be private.

TORRINGTON — A Mass of Christian burial for Richard C. Castelli, 89, of Mill Lane, who died Wednesday, April 21, will be celebrated on Saturday, April 24, at 9 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington.
Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to St. Peter Church, c/o The Pastoral Center, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790 or to a children's charity of the donor's choice.
