Mr. Adolphus D. Nuckolls, age 80, of Bull Shoals, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Baxter Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Nuckolls was born on July 6, 1921, in Brinkley, and was the son of the late Adolphus and Beulah Varner Nuckolls. He was a salesman of two-way radios and was a flight instructor for the U.S. Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Nuckolls was also a member of the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church and was a past president in organizations of the Bull Shoals Fire Auxiliary, Sahara Temple Shriners in Forrest City and Bull Shoals Rotary Club. He had been past senior board member of the Baxter County Regional Hospital and past executive director of the Bull Shoals White River Association. Besides his parents, Mr. Nuckolls was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Gregory Nuckolls. He is survived by one daughter, Rita Darling of Bull Shoals; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
