Services will be held at noon Saturday at Hamilton's FuneralHome. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Chariton Cemetery in Chariton, Iowa.
A retired shoe repairman, Earl was born in Buxton in Monroe County and lived in Des Moines 34 years before moving to Irving 11 years ago.
He is survived by a son, Richard E. Remster of Des Moines; five daughters, Mrs. Marie Chiodo, Mrs. Shirley Colson, Mrs. Carolyn Roberts and Mrs. Esther Burgett, all of Des Moines, and Mrs. Beverly Trinkle of Irving, Texas; two brothers, Lester Remster of Russell, Iowa and Raymond Remster of Marshalltown, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Pardoe of Ankeny, Iowa, and 13 grandchildren. He was the son of James Edward Remster and Rosa Ellen Goodwin Remster.
