W. H. Helwick

Funeral rites for W. H. Helwick, 66-year-old Stilwell blacksmith who died early Monday in a Prairie Grove, Ark., hospital, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at First Baptist church, with Rev. Henry Wall, officiating. Burial will be in the Piney cemetery with Roberts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Helwick, in ill health for some time, went to work Saturday morning but suffered a stroke in the early afternoon. He was removed Sunday to the hospital.
Mr. Helwick was born Sept. 22, 1883 in Stewart county, Tenn., and moved to Oklahoma in 1900. He had lived in Stilwell the past six years. On Nov. 8, 1916 he was married to Miss Clelie Keller and to this union seven children were born, one of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, three sons, Thomas Paul, John Warner and Jimmie Lee; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Bean and Mrs. Elnora Doolin, all of the home, and Mrs. Violet Tyree of Oilton; four grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
