Her obituary, published 31 Mar 1988 in "The Lincoln (Kansas) Sentinel-Republican":

Neola Lessor

Neola Blanche Altman Lessor was born on Feb. 28, 1889. She passed away on March 23,1988, after a short illness, at the age of 99 years.

She was one of 10 children born to S.A. and Mary Altman. She was a lifelong Lincoln resident.

On Oct. 31, 1909, she was married to Louis L. Lessor by the Rev. John Strange at the Altman home.

To this union were born three children: Mary E., Louis O. and Orye W.

Neola taught school before her marriage, and then her life for a number of years was spent raising her family. She worked hard and long hours, but always found time to keep in touch with far away friends and relatives. The last four years of her life were spent in the home of her daughter in Lincoln.

She was a member of the Lincoln Presbyterian Church, the Lincoln Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Memorial Auxiliary, the Lincoln Hospital Auxiliary and Lincoln County Historical Society.

Her husband, Louis, died in 1969.

Also preceding her in death were her sons and their wives, Louis and Louise Lessor and Orye and Mary Lessor; and a grandson, Michael W. Lessor.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary E. and husband, Clyde, of Lincoln; five grandsons, Richard and Joe Lessor, Patrick Lessor, Marvin and Marlin Jeffers; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ina Lyons of Aurora, Colo., and Edith Channer of Lambert Ville, Mich.

Services were held Saturday, March 26, at Hall Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.
