Sarah Edith Cossel was born July 1, 1885 in Davis County, Iowa, USA. She died at her home in Bloomfield, Iowa, April 30, 1954. at the age of 68 years and 10 months. To this union was born seven children, five of whom with their father survive, Earl Wilson, Seymour; Mrs Hilda Hougland, Bloomfield; Ivan Wilson, Ottumwa; Melvin Wilson, Milton and Mrs. Nina Bolin, Drakesville. A son, William Virgil, died at the age of eleven and a daughter, Mrs. Nona Roberts, also preceded her mother in death. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ethel Mullinix, Memphis, Mo.; and two brothers, George Cossel, Downing; and Alpa Cossel, Pueblo, Colorado; 36 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was a loving, thoughtful woman and united with the Barker United Brethren Church of which she has remained a faithful member until her death.
She was a loving, thoughtful wife and mother and a good neighbor; considerate of everyone in a quiet gentle way and she will be remembered by all who know her for her kindliness to everyone.
Sarah Edith and Albert Roy Wilson celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Paul Hougland, with a family dinner, on April 4, 1954.
