Born in Union County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Union County at age 18, March 20, 1862. Wounded in the thigh (Fracture) and arm at King's School House, Virginia, June 25, 1862. Died in hospital at Richmond, Virginia, July 3-5, 1862, of wounds.
