Roy was the second of five children born to Arthur Burkett and Eula 'Marie' (Redmond) Bass. He married Ruby Faye (Fann) and they had two children: Donald eugene and Linda Diane.

STATESVILLE Mr. Roy Lee Bass age 69, died Friday, March 17, 2000 at his residence. Graveside service 2PM Monday at Iredell Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday from 7-8:30PM at Reavis Funeral Home in Statesville.
