Bertha was the widow of the late Clayton Askew and the daughter of the late Orange R. SR.and Minnie Williams Coleman.Formerly from Anderson,South Carolina she lived most of her life in Chicago,Illinois.She was a self taught seamtress for many years and was a choir member at her church in Phoenix,Ill.She was preceded in death by four sisters and has three brothers.She is buried in the Piney Grove Church Cemetery in Sandy Springs,SC.
