Modesto, California - Former resident of Shawnee, Leonard Clay Honeycutt (L C), 66, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.

He was born Jan. 20 1944 in Shawnee to Clay E Honeycutt and Mazie V. Archer. He went to Shawnee and Bethel Schools. Moved to California and owned a welding company, LC Weld. He did a lot of offshore welding.

In his Bible Ministry, he bought and passed out many Bibles. On Dec. 27, 2002 in Coulterville, Calif., he was issued a Certificate of Ordination and became the Rev. Leonard Honeycutt.

In his life, Leonard loved to fish. He was also very attached to his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Clay Honeycutt and Mazie Ewing; two sisters; Dolly Hobbs Carter and Martha Williams.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelli D. and husband Ricky English of Mounds, Okla; two grand daughters, Laci C. and husband Donald Harvey of Sands Springs, Okla., and Paige L. English also of Mounds; two sisters, Janie R. Norred of Oklahoma City, and Ginger R. and husband Jim Stout of Midwest City; one brother, David M. Honeycutt of Shawnee; three nieces, Angela D. Behrent of Puyallup, Wash., Gina R. Page of Choctaw and Kelli S. Williams of Shawnee; three nephews, Warren V. Norred of Arlington, Texas, Rodney N. Norred of Arlington, Texas; Steven C. Stout of Choctaw; four great nieces, Trish and Sami Norred, Jillian Page, Alexa Stout; nine great nephews, Noah and Solomon Norred, Dylan and Max Behrent, Alexander Clay and Ben Norred, Justice and Jonah Page and Christopher Stout; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is to be buried in the New Hope Cemetery, Meeker at a later date.
