FORD CITY - Mrs. Lillian K. Rupert, 83, of 620 Hobson Dr., Ford City, died at 4:15 p.m. yesterday. ( Dec. 19, 1960) at her home following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 22, 1877, in Manor Twp. a daughter of Matt and Mary (Slagle) McCollum.
She was a member of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church and American Legion Auxiliary of Ford City.
Her husband, Samuel Rupert, preceded her in death in 1942. Two sons also preceded her in death.
Surviving are five sons, Fred, George and Floyd of Ford Cliff, Ernest of Manor Twp. and Frank of Bethel Twp.; four daughters, Mrs. Shimell of Templeton, Mrs. Alice Waltenbaugh of Niles, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Riggle of Ford City RD 2 and Mrs. Ruth Van Dusen of Baltimore, Md.
Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Louis Stivanson and Mrs. Grace Stivanson of Ford Cliff, Mrs. Daisy Stivanson and Mrs. Carrie Fair of Kittanning RD 3, Mrs. Ocie Moore of Ford City RD 1, and Mrs. Minnie Heilman of Kittanning RD 5; 34 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Friends will be received at Welch funeral home in Ford City from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Max B. Conley, pastor of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment will be made in Ford City Cemetery.
