Teresa Hooley was single. Her parents were John Hooley (b. 1824 Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland and moved at a young age with his family to Manchester, England) & Mary A. (Hickey) Hicky b. 1831 Ireland. Her and her whole family were in the theatre business (musicians, actors, comedians, theatre owners etc). Her father John and her uncle Richard "Dick" Hooley opened the first permanent theatre in Brooklyn in 1862 (Hooley's Opera House) in downtown B'klyn. Her uncle also owned a theatre in Chicago, IL, up until the late 1890's.
