Another of Norway's Longtime Residents Succumbs To The Grim Reaper
Had Served In The Navy

After an illness of more than a year, the last month of which was passed at the Augustana Hospital, Hogan Rasmussen died there.
Hogan was born in the vicinity of Haugesand, Norway, Europe and was 61. He served 9 years in the United States Navy much of that time on the gunboat Alex and was in service in foreign waters during the trouble with China. He came to Norway in 1886 and was married here 27 years ago (1894). He had been in the service of Penn Iron Mg. Co. for 31 years.
The deceased is survived by his widow, 1 son, Harold and 4 daughters, Rachel, Violet, Myrtle and Lillian. A sister, Mrs. Anna Anderson and 2 brothers, Rasmus and Omer also survive.
