Frank Starr Dies Of Heart Trouble
Funeral Of Chester Farmer Will Be Held Sunday At Blanche Chapel
Frank Starr, 65, lifelong resident of Chester township, died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday at his home two miles west and three-fourths of a mile south of Poneto. Death was attributed to heart trouble.
Born on March 30, 1872, he had resided all of his life on the same farm where he was born and was well known throughout the south part of the county.
His first marriage was to Rosa Willis, and his second marriage was to Ada Shadle Small on Oct. 28, 1899.
Surviving are the widow; two daughters by his first marriage, Mrs. Russell Carnes, of Bluffton, and Mrs. Alpha Grove, of Albany; four children by his second marriage, Mrs. John Minnich and Mont Starr, both of Poneto; Philip Starr, of LaPorte, and Mrs. Howard Habig, of Bluffton, and two adopted step-children, Mrs. Gerald Bailey, of Bluffton, and Sam Starr, of Bracketville, Tex.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, two half-brothers, Ivy A. and Ed McGeath, both of Oklahoma, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Retta Harris and Mrs. Rosa Grove, both of Wells county.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Blanche Chapel church in charge of Lester Howell. Burial will be in the McFarren cemetery.
