Mr. Volentine died at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice Volentine of West Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Claunch, Mrs. Eunice Ainsworth, Mrs. Betty Elliott, all of Monroe, and Mrs. Judy Flores of Columbia; a son, Billy Wayne Stegall of West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Manly of Columbia, Mrs. Allen Ferrington of Riverton, Mrs. Mildred Braddock of Monroe and Mrs. Verland Volentine of Richland, Calif.; two brothers, Cecil Volentine of Richmond and Arvil Volentine of Bridge City, Tex.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
