Mary E. Pittman Reeves, 88, of 25th Street died at 6:06 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home.
Mrs. Reeves was co-owner of Wayne's Auto Electric from 1965 to 1981. The business is now owned and operated on Cherry Street by two grandsons, Robert W. Reeves Jr. and Donald Lee Reeves.
Mrs. Reeves attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday. Private family burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Born in Lebanon, Ky., June 30, 1917, Mrs. Reeves was the daughter of Oscar and Sarah Rayley Pittman. She married Wayne C. Reeves in 1938. He passed away in 1982.
Survivors include sons, the Rev. Robert W. Reeves Sr. of Columbus and Richard L. Reeves of Taylorsville; a daughter, Wanda K. Bobblitt of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Louise Landry of California; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sons, Donald L. and Kenneth R. Crouch and Earl E. Reeves; a daughter, Mable Bernice Davis; one brother; and three sisters.
