Mrs. R. T. Dye
News has been received here of the death of Mrs. Ragland Thomson Dye of Salem, VA.
Mrs. Dye was a member of the pioneer family of Spartanburg, and was a former resident of this city. She was the daughter of Jumius and Lucy Ross Thomson. Mr. Thomson was the builder of one of the 1st hotels of Spartanburg, The Palmetto House., which was located on the corner of Church and Main Streets.
Funeral Services will be held this morning at 10:30 at the Gravesidein Oakwood Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. J F Lupo.
Mrs. Dye was an Aunt of Mrs. W.L. Thomson of 172 Hampton Ave. Spartanburg.
Surviving is one son, William T. Dye of Charlotte, NC.and two daughters, Miss Florence Dye and Miss Ragland Dye, both of Salem, VA.
