John Piper, aged 75 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sylvester McClain in Robinson on Saturday morning with a paralytic stroke, after a breif illness. He was a native of West Wheatfield Township, but had made his home for many years in Cokeville where he was employed, moving to Robinson about 25 years ago where he had since made his home. His wife Margaret Campbell Piper, died several years ago and he had since made his home with his daughter, Mrs. McClain. Mr. Piper was one of the highly respected residents of the southern part of the county. He is survived by the following children; Willard and Earl Piper of Cokeville; Bessie, wife of Pearl Pease, and Jean wife of Sylvester McClain of Robinson. Another daughter Carrie wife of Fred Shetler and a son Frank Piper, have been dead for sometime, Funeral services were held from the home of his daughter Tuesday afternoon. Internment was made in Bethal Cemetery.
