Mrs. Odessa Ashmore Graham, age 100, of Crockett, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Whitehall Nursing Center. She was born November 6, 1912 in Belott and was a resident of Crockett since 1972. Mrs. Graham was very active in Woodman of the World and had served as Woodwoman of the World 2 times. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crockett where she was active in the Melody Makers and Lydia Sunday school Class. Mrs. Graham had worked as a teacher for the Ephesus school and was a housewife.

Dessie was the daughter of Henry Alvin Graham and Minnie Woodland Ashmore. She was four and half years old when her mother passed away. Her grandmother moved in with them to take care of Dessie and her two year old brother, Dock. At the age of 8, her Dad married Miss Pearl Stanley.

Preceded in death by husband, J. T. "Monk" Graham; son, Billy Day Graham; grandson, Billy D. Graham; daughter-in-law, Zula Graham; brothers, H. A. Ashmore and Dock Ashmore and step-mother, Pearl Ashmore.

Funeral services for Mrs. Odessa Ashmore Graham will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Energy Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Energy Cemetery Association.
