Emma Ann Wilsdon was born at Dedington, England on March 9, 1837 and had reached the age of 88 years and 16 days. At the age of ten years she, with her parents came to Canada, remaining there until 1867.
In 1857 she was married to James Dorsey. To Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey were born 8 children, 3 of whom preceded her in death, a son and daughter in infancy, and John, the eldest who passed away July 3, 1923.
Those to left to miss her are Mrs. Walter Jersey, Mrs. E Griffin of Mattoon, Charles Dorsey of New London, Mrs. W.A. Gruner of Shawano, and Mrs. J.P. Larsen of Antigo.
Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Jersey, on Saturday at 2 o'clock, with the Rev, Virgil Bell of new London officiating and the Rev. M. Luenberger the local pastor, assisting. Interment was at the
Woodlawn cemetery. The floral offerings expressed the high esteem in which she was held.
The following out of town relatives attended the funeral: Miss Ardis Jersey of Birnamwood, Shirley Jersey of Wittenberg, Mrs. And Mrs. Charles Dorsey of new London, Mr. and Mrs. A. Gruner and son of Shawano, Mrs. And Mrs. J.P. Larsen of Antigo, and Mrs. E Brittian of Lake Mills.
