Paul Michael Rockne was the grandson of legendary Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne. A Vietnam veteran, Michael had been a mail carrier for five years. On August 20th, 1986, he was one of the first victims of a co-worker's shooting spree at the Edmond, Oklahoma, post office.

Mr. Rockne was survived by his wife and son.
