Howard Leon Rushton died July 8, 1992 on his 77th birthday.

Born July 8, 1915 in Hunter, Utah a son of Albert and Annie Lee Harkness Rushton. Married Thelma R. Jenkins March 27, 1937 in Magna; marriage solemnized April 21, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served an LDS mission in Upland, California where he helped build a stake center. He was an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Love the outdoors. Avid hunter and fisherman.Survived by wife, West Valley City; three sons, three daughters and their spouses, James H. and wife, Julia Rushton, West Valley City; Robert L. and Evon Rushton, Herriman; Marjorie and and McKay LeFevre, West Valley City; Kathryn and Ben Sundblom, Gabbs, Nevada; Sandra and Jim Wheeler, Jackson, Wyoming; Bruce D. and Colleen Rushton, West Valley City; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Larena Foutz, West Valley City; Ive Thompson, Cucamonga, California; brothers, Owen A. Rushton, Kearns; Verl Rushton, Herriman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Hunter 2nd Ward, 3970 South 5200 West. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
