Henry Westbrook, 65, of Buna, Texas, died Monday, April 19, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 noon at the First United Pentecostal Church in Buna with Masonic Graveside Rites to follow at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 9 pm Thursday at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
A native of Newton County, Texas, he had lived in Buna 38 years. A businessman who owned a grocery store chain, a jewelry store and was the owner of a private bus company, Royal Motor Coaches. He had been ordained as a bishop at the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Buna and served in that position for a year and a half.
Henry Westbrook's memory and service as a church leader and businessman, will live on, as he touched as many lives as he could. He was a very dedicated man to his church, his family and his country.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Westbrook of Buna; sons, Terry Westbrook and wife Sheri of Buna; Chad Westbrook and wife Shelley of Lumberton; Ricky Westbrook and wife Beth of Fannett; and Gary Westbrook and wife Katie of Orange; 3 brothers, Harold Westbrook of Nederland; Ronnie Westbrook of Pt. Neches; and Kenneth Westbrook of Trinity; a sister, Sue Perkins of Newton; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
