George and Martha brought their family to Indiana sometime between 1814 & 1820. George became the first pastor of the Beech Creek Baptist Church. He was also a farmer and a blacksmith.
"Elder George Burch founded the Hebron Regular Baptist Church on Little Indian Creek Saturday February 1822 on the Greene/ Monroe Co. line. Hebron Baptist was received into the White River Assocation of Regular Baptist October 1822 Elder Burch went on to found the Beech Creek Regular Baptist. Hebron Baptist is the oldest Church in Monroe Co., Indiana 190 years old this year (2012)."

Their son Hubbard died young. John, James, Jane STORM, Abigail Crane and Mary Ellen Collins moved their families west and settled in MO, IA, & NE. (Jane returned.) Elizabeth STORM and Davis remained in Indiana.
