He was born in Montgomery County, AR and moved to CA in 1925. He was an assistant postmaster. He was a member of Coronado Lodge No 8 F.A.&M. of Arizona. Sacramento Commandary of Scottish Rites, Century chapter No 10 OES. He is survived by his wife, Aletha S. Nelson of Placerville and 3 sisters, Virginia Rose of Jacinto; Eleanor Graves of Oklahoma; and Adele Fry of Arkansas. [From The Mountain Democrat Times, Placerville, CA. Dec. 16, 1977].
