Wilbur Simon Graves, 56, resident of Dodge Center for the past 28 years, died Thursday, Sept. 7, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
He was born Sept. 24, 1904, at Princeville, Illinois, and married the former Laura Prall at Dodge Center, Jan. 17, 1925. He was employed with the Dodge County Highway Department and was a member of Masonic Relief Lodge 108 at Dodge Center.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Maroo of Dodge Center and Mrs. Allen Narveson of Dodge Center; one son, Ralph of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Percy Janes and Mrs. Aden Throndson, both of Hayfield; two brothers, Everett of Hayfield and Byron of Dodge Center. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 1961, at the First Methodist Church here, with the Rev. I. Hsin Liu officiating. The organist was Mrs. Genevieve Crouch and the soloist, Mrs. Quentin Crouch. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, here.
Pallbearers were Clarence Bishop, Clarence Andrist, Dewight Lewis, Earl Howard, Alfred Baken and Harvey Houseman.
Corey's Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
