Robert Ledgerwood, until recently a resident of this place, died at orient Wednesday morning. The funeral was conducted by the Masons on Friday. Mr. Ledgerwood was one of the first mayors of this place. Age 56 years. He was a son of Thomas Ledgerwood, one of the early pioneers of this state, who survives him. he has three brothers - C.A. Legerwood of Colville, Joseph of Orient and LaFayette of Rice, and a sister Mrs. W.T. Ferguson of this place, also five children, Clyde, Glen, Frank, Walter and Howard. Mr. Ledgerwood was one of nature's noblemen, a good neighbor, upright and honorable and a man respected and loved by everyone. The writer of this, with an acquaintance of over twenty years, can truthfully say he never heard the deceased criticized or unfavorably spoken of.
