DEATH COMES TO MRS. EMILY CAMERON
Mrs. Emily Cameron, 77, a resident of the Burr community for more than half a century, died at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday in Community Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks following a stroke.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adams, she was born July 9, 1875, in Burt county , Nebr. She and Allen Cameron were married May 8, 1894 at Valparaiso, Nebr. They went immediately to a farm in the Burr area and resided there all the rest of their lives.
Mr. Cameron passed away on December 23. 1951.
Mrs. Cameron was a member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Rodgers, Unadilla; three sons, Oliver, Herbert and Carl Cameron, all of Burr; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Carrie Slocum of Hawthorne, Calif. and a number of nieces and nephews. Two daughters, Marian and Ruth preceded their mother in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tonsing & Son Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. at the Hopewell church with Rev. Donald Proett officiating.
Burial will be in the Hopewell cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elmer Moss, Earl Wendein, W. M. Neeman, Ade Mannacheck, Art Moeller and Walter Vohs.
