BURKHOLDER - On the 13th, of Feb., 1901, in Franklin Co., Pa., very suddenly, of diabetes, Samuel W. Burkholder, aged 49 years, 9 months, __ days. He had been suffering for a long time. He had been out visiting the sick during the day, and returned as usual. At half past four in the morning his wife was awakened by the quivering of his hand and found him unable to speak, and before she could call the family together he had breathed his last. He was a pious father, and his aim was to live a righteous life, and we believe it is well with him. He was born in Cumberland County, and married Mary S. Lehman, of Franklin Co., where he lived from the time he was married until his death. He leaves a sorrowing companion, four sons and five daughters. It is hard to part with a father so kind and dear, but we believe our loss is his eternal gain.
