Marvin Early Goad, 80, of Woodlawn, VA, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2001, at his home.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Darnell and Manuel Clontz of Hillsville, VA, Paulette and Dick Hatfield of Galax, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Harmey and Lesa Goad of Hillsville, VA; two sisters, Ava and Christine Mills both of Martinsville, VA; two brothers, Berlin Goad of Dugspur, VA, Archie Goad of Willis, VA; six grandchildren, Tina Hensdell, Jeffrey Clontz, Tosha Goad, Ashley Reeves, Kelsey Goad and Levi Goad.
Mr Goad was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Mae Goad.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be missed very much.
Funeral was Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.
