Age 76, of rural Manhattan died Saturday, December 23, 2000 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois. She was born January 30, 1924 in Tinley Park, Illinois to Daniel C. and Louise G. (Unbehaun) Lauffer. She married Herman Kuse of Manhattan on June 5, 1948 in Mokena, IL.
    Survived by son, Lloyd (Tammy) Kuse of Manhattan; daughters, Delilah Kuse of Manhattan and Karla (Randy) Jessen of Elwood, IL; three grandchildren, Nicole, Scott, and Emily Kuse. Sisters, Hannah Dawson of Lima, Ohio, Bertha Hecht of Frankfort, and Margarer Dahlke of Addison.
    Preceded in death by her parents.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2000 from 4-7 p.m. at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel. Burial will be in the Skyline Memorial Park in Monee.
    Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Building Fund.
