Fritz Alston Jr., 83, of Ozark died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, in an area hospital. He was a farmer and rancher and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Assembly of God of Mulberry.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at First Assembly of God of Mulberry with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Bowlin Alston; one daughter, Charlotte Carpenter of Ozark; one son, Bill of Ozark; five grandchildren, Tracy Nagel, Greg Powell and Lance Carpenter, all of Ozark, Heather McCaulley of Paris and Aaron Alston of Anna, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wallace, Ronnie and Jack Alston, Bob Brown, Donnie Walker and Nathan Myers.
