Edgar Marion Brammer, the son of Benjamin E and Dolly J. Williams Brammer was born July 16, 1892 in Clark County and passed away in Monmouth, Ill., May 2, 1969, at the age of 76 years and nine months. He was married to Hattie Perl Shuman, March 15, 1911 in Kahoka who preceded him in death Nov. 9, 1967. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, one brother and one sister. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thelma P. Burckhartt of Monmouth, Ill., three sons, Vernon of Monmouth, Lloyd of Wayland, and Wayne of Reseda, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Whittaker of Burlington, Iowa, and Mrs. Earl McCarty of Memphis. There are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Brammer was a member of the Kahoka Christian Church. Services were Monday, May 5, 1969, at 2 p.m. in the Kahoka Christian Church with the Rev. Thomas Russell officiating. Pallbearers were Alba Fountain, Gerald Miller, Gene Gutting, Robert Brammer, Robert Duer, and Richard Filz. Honorary escorts: Alois Renner, Russell Riney, Phillip Filz and Glen Davidson. Soloist, Mrs. Esther Behnke and organist, Mrs. Kathleen Fountain.
