City Prison Farm Head Cook Suffers Fatal Heart Attack

Andrew J. Pritchard, 56, of 1716 Classen St., head cook at the city prison farm, died following a heart, attack at the the home of his son Paul. 861 Beverly Dr., Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. Pritchard had been employed at the prison farm about two years. He became the prison farm's head cook a year ago last November. He came to Wiichita in 1942 from Ottawa, Kan. Mr. Pritchard was born April 19, 1899, at Deepwater. Mo.

He was a member of the Baptist Church. Albert Pile Masonic Lodge and Wichita Consistory. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

Other survivors include his widow. Ida; a son. William. 510 W. 10th St.; three brothers, York, of Washington, Harry, serving with the Army in Hawaii, and Donald, whose address was not immediately known.

Four sisters, Mrs. Nina Harkenpence. and Mrs. Pearl Weir, both of Ottawa, Mrs. Louis Schimerhorn. Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Lela Porter. of California; and four grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Gordon Mortuary.
