Geraldine Jacobs, 61, homemaker, died Thursday. Visitation 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, Hart Funeral Home, Tahlequah, and graveside service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Lost City Cemetery.

Graveside services for Geraldine "Dena" Jacobs, will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Lost City Cemetery. Glen Carpenter will officiate the services for Mrs. Jacobs. Services have been entrusted to Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Geraldine "Dena" Jacobs was born on Monday, November 29, 1948, the daughter of Charles Ogg and Imogene Mealand in Artesia, NM. Dena obtained her Associates degree in Computer Programming from Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, NM in 1985. On January 14, 1972, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Charles Jacobs in Roswell, NM.. Together, they moved to the Hulbert area ten years ago. Dena was a devoted mom to her son Tony and daughters Lori and Patti Jo. Dena kept busy with her children and grandchildren. She was talented with crochet and attended craft fairs. She enjoyed a day spent fishing. She was an avid music fan and listened to a variety of music including Country Western, Rock n Roll, Rap and Christian. Dena had a heart of gold and cared deeply for everyone around her. A woman of strong Christian faith, Dena was deeply spiritual and embraced life with a passion. Dena loved America and was proud of the country she called home. Most of all, she loved the time she had with her husband, children, and grandchildren just enjoying a laugh or visit. Dena went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 15, 2010 with her family at her side. She will be missed by her loving family and friends. Dena is preceded in death by her parents, Imogene Mealand and Charles Ogg, her brother Gary Wayne, her grandmother, Mattie Adams and three uncles, Claude, John, Virgil and wife Reba. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Jimmy, and three adored children; son Tony Archuleta and wife Donna of Kinston, NC, daughter Lori Deatherage and husband Billy of Rogers, AR, and daughter Patti Jo Jacobs-Murphy and husband Pat of Rogers, AR. Her legacy lives on in her nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Jason and Anna King, Meghan King, Meredith King, Ashli Atkins, Skyler Duncan, Tiffany Murphy, Ben Murphy, Loghan Kepler, and Nicole Martin. Along with her special great grand daughter, Cheyenne Martin, Dena leaves two sisters and four brothers, Pat Snipes and husband Bill, Buck Aldrich and wife Jeannie, Mike Mealand and wife Susie, Tommy Mealand, Randy Maples and LaDonna Willoughby all of Roswell, NM., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and loved ones.
